OPENING LETTER:
Hello Everyone,
I want to wish all of you a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter,
(I realize I am a week late, but all of this still applies) along with
any other spiritual holiday that you may be celebrating
this time of year. I always feel this time to be very spiritual and
filled with a lot of opportunity for new clarity and growth.
Again, I would like to encourage and inspire all of you
to take part in some sort of daily prayer and meditation.
I begin each day praying, meditating, then writing a few pages
in my journal, and then creating a small drawing with colored
pencils in my notebook. I find by doing this everyday, it greatly
assists my life in unfolding and going forward with greater ease.
If you don't take part in any kind of daily communion with
your deepest self and with the universe or God,
I would highly suggest that this is a great time to begin.
I am presently in Florida and greatly enjoying
the warm weather, lush plant life, and the ocean after many years
of New York winters.
I hope that you are enjoying life and remembering to reach out often
to those unfortunate than yourselves. It is the little things that have
the biggest effects.
Wishing you all the best of health,
Timothy Long

Q & A
E-MAIL EXCHANGES WITH READERS:
1) WOW! What a difference getting off tofu made for my weight. I avoid
all soy except liquid aminos and I have lost 20 pounds without trying. I
lost
5 pounds the first month and have continued to steadily decline without
dieting or increasing my exercise habits. THANK YOU THANK YOU for
this information!!!! I also threw out my 2 microwaves. Bless you for your
wonderful info-letters.
My questions are:
1. Will using soy (tofu as in Aubry cosmetic home recipes) cause
problems with thyroid function, as is does by ingesting it?
2. The Progest-E has a bad taste. Is it the oil or the progesterone? It
is truly yucky!,p>
I was born New Year's Eve in 1951.
Why Progest? 2 reasons.
1. I used to have a voracious sexual appetite. Then I woke up one day 2.5
years ago and had none. NONE. I still have periods and don't have mood
swings, hot flashes etc that others complain of. My boy friend still wants
to have sex. I can't believe I ever used to "do that."
2. I believe that I am hypo-thyroid. I have low body temps all the time. I
am always cold. My heart rate is slow. My blood pressure is low. This is not
a new thing. I was cold all my life. I used to believe I was in great shape
but I have a slow heart and low blood pressure even when not exercising. I
sometimes wondered if my endocrine system was out of balance as I was always
the same weight, then I gained 30 pounds rapidly and couldn't loose it -
until I tossed the microwaves and cut out all soy.
Life style: I am mostly vegetarian. I eat organic food at home. I travel
2x/month with my job but try to make reasonable food choices. I'm into
herbs, vitamins, fresh fruits and veggies. I grow a lot of my own food. I'm
a Hulda Clark enthusiast. I drink 1-2+ quarts of water a day. I save all
your info-letters and share them with everyone who will listen. I have 3
cats. And, I pray a lot.
***Bless you for being willing to listen and try something that goes
against the grain of 'good natural health sense'!
A little soy on the skin wont kill you. But remember, everything we put
on our skin gets into the body. I would avoid it. It also bakes in the
sun. Soy is cancer causing. As with canola, and all unsaturated oils,
I would avoid putting them in or on the body.
To some people's tastes, the Progest E is bitter. It is perfectly healthy.
Try to get used to it, the Progest E does a lot of good.
Let me know me know more about your health problems,
you may not have to take progesterone. For instance, if your thyroid is
running low, it is likely wise to deal with it first or only. Then you would
not have to use Progest E at all. It may not even be a good idea to use
progesterone when your thyroid is running low. When the thyroid is running
low, small amounts of progesterone, especially in cream form, can turn
into estrogen. I might also suggest using pregnenolone as a much safer
alternative.
Wishing you the best in health,
Timothy Long***
2) Hi,
My name is Praveen and I am an Indian residing in Kuwait. I am 32 years
old. My father suffers from mild cholesterol and tryglyceride (since the
age of 52) and there is a family history of heart ailments. Due to the
reasons stated above, I had started to use sunflower oil as I was told
that the cholesterol element in Sunflower Oil was much lower that of
coconut oil (which was the medium I was using earlier).
After going through your website, I am given to understand that this is
not the case and in fact using sunflower oil is more harmful to health.
If that is so can you please advise me as to whether I can revert to
coconut oil as my medium of cooking ? What is the best oil to use in
case a person suffers from cholesterol and tryglycerides.
Kindly clarify,
Praveen
***Dear Praveen,
I am glad to see you love your father so much, and are taking
care of him.
The best oils to use are olive oil, coconut, and real butter.
But be sure the coconut is real oil, not hydrogenated.
The olive oil is very important for him to use, as for everyone.
But be sure it is extra virgin, and cold pressed. And it should be organic.
The butter should be unsalted, sweet butter. Ghee is good. Butter, as
with all diary, eggs, and meat products should be organic.
All polyunsaturated oils should be avoided.
Traditional ways are often best.
If you are cooking something at a high temperature, as in frying,
the coconut is best. It has the highest burn rate. It wont break
down as easy as the other oils.
Olive oil is best on salads, vegetables, etc. It is good on rice, as is
coconut.
It is best to keep all these three oils and fats in the diet.
Eating fish is good too.
Not so much red meat.
Be sure all milk products are not homogenized. Homogenized milk and
cheese are one of the biggest problems causing cholesterol.
Too much sugar, especially in meals with fat, is a major cause of
cholesterol,
heart problems, etc.
Garlic is good in the diet for your father's problem, so is ginger.
I would also advise your father to use digestive enzymes (plant enzymes) at
the start of his meals. They should have protease and lipase in them. This
will
help him to break down and digest his food properly, which is often a major
component in cardiovascular problems, as in all chronic diseases.
How is the health of his liver? What does he eat and drink daily?
You might consider having him take some herbs to cleanse his liver and to
assist
it in doing its job. Traditional Bitters would be a good thing to take as recommended before meals.
If you let me know more about your father's diet and needs and I can help
you further.
All the best,
Timothy Long

3) Dear Sir,
I read in one of your articles that using coconut oil and
olive oil is safest for people with cholesterol, and I have
also noted that you have advised to use GHEE and Butter. I
would like to know whether consumption of Butter leads to
weight increase.
Furthermore, could you please advise what is the meaning of
"Be sure all milk products are not homogenized. Homogenized
milk and cheese are one of the biggest problems causing
cholesterol."
What is the meaning of homogenized??
Awaiting your assistance
Regards
Sameer
Kuwait
***Dear Sameer,
Yes, butter can lead to some weight increase, but a normal, healthy
increase. If you are trying to lose weight, eat less butter. But if your
weight is normal, it is a very good food and it is good in the diet. Just
do not heat butter at high temperatures. In America, most all milk is
homogenized. This is a process that causes the fat to stay evenly mixed
in the milk. When the milk is not homogenized you have the fat
floating on the top, separated from the milk, which is the traditional and
healthy way. When the milk is homogenized, or cheese or yogurt is made
from homogenized milk, it is very difficult to digest, and it is hard on the
liver, so it ends up causing cholesterol and other serious health problems.
Clean, raw, traditional milk is best, that has not been homogenized. In
America, it is possible to find in health food stores organic milk that has
been pasteurized but not homogenized. I use this milk myself, as I
also take enzymes along with my meals. This helps make up for the
destroyed enzymes in the pasteurized milk. In many supermarkets it is
possible to find organic milk that is both pasteurized and homogenized,
so I sometimes buy the skim, low or nonfat milk, as to avoid milk fat that
has been homogenized. If I were a person that had to have milk, but only
could find non-organic milk, I would choose skim milk, to not only avoid
the homogenized fat, but to avoid the antibiotics, hormones, pesticides,
and other dangerous toxins that are likely attached to the fat molecules in milk.
Sugar, junk food, simple carbohydrates, white flour products,
simple bread products, soda, desserts, etc, are the main cause of overweight
problems. Not good healthy fats, eggs, meats, etc. Avoid sugar and sugar
substitutes and you will avoid a lot of weight problems.
Use natural Stevia as a substitute sweetener, not artificial sugar.
Wishing you good health,
Timothy Long***

SENT IN BY A READER:
Please read and think.
This was written by a Columbine High School student
So well written and so very true.
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller
buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways,
but narrower viewpoints;
we spend more, but have less;
we buy more, but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time;
we have more degrees, but less sense;
more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but less solutions;
more medicine, but less wellness.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life;
we've added years to life, not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor
We've conquered outer space, but not inner space;
we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul;
we've split the atom, but not our prejudice.
We have higher incomes,but lower morals;
we've become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are the times of tall men, and short character; steep
profits, and shallow relationships.
These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare;
more leisure, but less fun;
more kinds of food, but less nutrition.
These are days of two incomes, but more divorce;
of fancier houses, but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window
and nothing in the stockroom;
a time when technology can bring this letter to you,
and a time when you can choose either to forward this message to a
friend and make a difference ... or just hit delete.
Thank you Melissa for sending this in. – Timothy

SOME MORE HEALTH TIPS:
My Most Important Supplement Recommendations to support your immune
system, to prevent disease, and to keep your energy high. I recommend
the following to everyone:
REVISED SINCE THE MARCH LETTER:
For anti-oxidant protection, against our everyday toxic environment and
what is in the food and water:
1) Vitamin E, specifically TocopherALL, natural full-spectrum vitamin E in
olive oil, (not synthetic E, nor soy) (see details at
www.naturalhealthinfo.com)
2) Vitamin A, specifically Halibut Liver Oil (see details at
www.naturalhealthinfo.com)
3) Vitamin C, Thera-zyme Opt is my favorite. There are 100mgs of whole food
natural vitamin C per capsule. Premier Greens also provides Vitamin C in
whole food form. You don't want to use ascorbic acid. Beware of so-called
"natural vitamin C" labels that are little more than ascorbic acid with a pinch of
lifeless rosehips thrown in. (see details at www.naturalhealthinfo.com)
These three, Vitamin E, A, & C are very important for everyone. They prevent
a lot of disease and clean up a lot of insults to the body from the
environment, diet, etc. There are just too many health benefits of taking these
anti-oxidants to elaborate on them here.
4) I highly recommend that everyone take plant-based Digestive Enzymes,
especially if you have any kind of digestive difficulty, or are over 30-40
years old. Today's agricultural, storage, and cooking methods destroy the
enzymes naturally inherent in the foods we eat. Without these enzymes our
bodies have a very difficult time breaking down and utilizing what we eat.
Our bodies are also worn out trying to get this job done. We can have a
great diet, but without proper quantities of high quality enzymes we cannot
take full advantage of the nutrition in the food we eat. The highest quality
and most useful digestive enzymes on the market are Thera-zymes HCL,
BIL, PAN, & DGST. To know which one you would do best with, it is
best to do the Twenty-Four Hour Urinalysis.
5) Use a daily whole food natural multi-mineral formula, not a
so-called 'natural' multi-mineral vitamin pill that has synthetic
vitamins in it, as most every one does.
I suggest the Fruit and Vegetable Capsules (Juice Plus), and they are
great for kids too. And I suggest the Premier Greens. In addition,
the SRB rice based protein and vitamin powder is very good.
All of these can be used to boost your diet, or to cut down
on the amount of food and calories you are taking in. These are
far better choices than the numerous junk meal/protein/diet
drinks and powders so many people are consuming, so many
of which are soy based, and contain inferior synthetic vitamins.
Everything mentioned here can be read about in more
depth, or ordered at www.longnaturalhealth.com

PRAYER REQUESTS:
+++Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Africa who are fighting
both AIDS and starvation, along with the greed of the developed world.
Didn't Jesus say when the least of us suffers, He and all of us suffer too?
Ask God within yourself - what can I do to help?
+++Please keep praying for lasting peace in the world, especially in
the Middle East
+++Pray that the world's lenders forgive the debts of the nations
that are enslaved by their ever mounting debt
+++Email me a prayer request and I will add it to my next
newsletter. Please do not forward me requests you receive
from others, such as by email. Only send me requests that
are personal to you, your family, etc. Keep them short, a few
lines is best. Give a full name if you can, a birth date and place
of residence would be good too. I will print it in the next
newsletter, and hopefully everyone will keep the requests
in their prayers.
